At Speak Up Sprouts, we believe that communication is the foundation for connection, learning, and self-expression; and that every child deserves to find their voice. Our goal is to make evidenced-based speech therapy fun, engaging, and meaningful, so that children can gain the skills they need to thrive in everyday life.

The name “Speak Up Sprouts” reflects the idea that, like a sprout, every child has incredible potential to grow when given the right care, guidance, and encouragement. Our goal is to work with you to nurture that growth every step of the way.
Parents love that we teach practical strategies in clear, easy-to-understand terms, so everyone can be part of their little sprout’s progress. Every session is tailored and adjusted as your child grows, helping them reach milestones at their own pace.

Claire Hudson
Owner | Executive Clinical Director | M.S. CCC-SLP
Claire is a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist with experience in early intervention, home health, public schools, private clinics, and hospital settings, working with both children and adults across a variety of communication needs. Outside of Speak Up Sprouts, she currently works part-time at Roger C. Peace, where she provides support to adult patients, further broadening her expertise across the lifespan. She holds a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from UW-Eau Claire and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
She is bilingual in English and German and has intermediate proficiency in Spanish, allowing her to connect with families from diverse backgrounds. As the founder of Speak Up Sprouts, she is committed to empowering her clients to communicate effectively and confidently.
Theresa Handig
Graphic Designer | Illustrator
Theresa plays a key role in bringing Speak Up Sprouts’ children’s books (coming soooooon) and educational resources to life. Based in Vienna, Austria, she is a graphic designer and illustrator who uses her creativity to craft visually engaging materials that make learning fun and meaningful. Her artistic expertise helps transform learning into playful, accessible experiences for children and families.

Creativity runs through everything Theresa does. Outside the studio, she finds inspiration in the outdoors— whether hiking, skiing, or exploring nature. Her adventurous spirit and commitment to health and wellness shine through in every project, making her an invaluable part of the Speak Up Sprouts team.
Vicente Martinez Ferro
Business Manager
Vicente plays an instrumental role in keeping Speak Up Sprouts running smoothly. With a background in Mechanical Engineering and an Masters of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina, he brings a unique blend of analytical skills, strategic thinking, and problem-solving to the practice. His leadership and organizational expertise ensure an efficient, client-focused environment that prioritizes the well-being of each family.

His goal is to ensure that every detail behind the scenes runs seamlessly, so families feel supported from the very first step, keeping the mission of Speak Up Sprouts at the core.
